What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Flockstars (UTV Ireland, 8.30pm)

It’s a reality TV show about a bunch of Z-list celebrities doing sheepdog trials. Bear with us. Tonight, Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole (no idea) and TV presenter Amanda Lamb (not a notion) will be training with sheepdogs Hoggy and Midge. If we don’t laugh we’ll cry, as the fella said.

Grand Designs (Channel 4, 8pm)

Kevin McCloud (<3) revisits some of his favourite country homes from the past 15 years of Grand Designs, including a transformed farm. “NO HOME IN BRITAIN MUST GO UNVISITED!” – Kevin McCloud, probably.

Fight Club (ITV4, 11.10pm)

Night owls are in for a treat with this David Fincher film, based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel of the same name. It’s bloody, broody, and features Brad Pitt at his ridiest. What more could you want?

Everybody’s talking about: #Rubberbandits

The Limerick duo has signed on to lend their voices to a new British TV series, The Almost Impossible Game Show.

The Total Wipeout-style show will see contestants facing a selection of typically mortifying tasks – Blindboy Boatclub and Mr Chrome will be adding the commentary. The lads done good!

Or flick over for…

  • The Mummy (ITV2, 7.30pm) O Brendan Fraser, where art thou?
  • Don’t Tell The Bride (BBC3, 8pm) A tattoo artist plans a heavy metal-themed wedding. Err.
  • The Unbreakables (BBC3, 9pm) New documentary series on a school where students with disabilities live and study away from home.
  • Takers (RTÉ2, 9pm) Idris Elba and Paul Walker (RIP) work hard to make this decidedly uncool thriller cool.
  • Prince Philip: The Plot to Make a King (Channel 4, 9pm) The inside story of the marriage of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.
